TopAppaloosas > Hickory Star Lena aka "Betty" This QH daughter of High Brow Hickory is one of T.O.P. Appaloosas key broodmares. Betty's dam is by Grays Starlight and out of Olena Belle (x Doc O'Lena) Betty's sire has total offspring earnings in excess of 4.5 MILLION dollars. I guess one could say this lovely lady has some potential as a brood mare; only made better by adding Gay Bars Silver into the mix!! Jo Re's sire is Freckles Boon (x Freckles Playboy out of Gay Jay) Throughout their first full year of competition in 2004, it was either Gay Bars Silver or Jo Re with the Champion or Reserve Champion trophies!! Appaloosas best broodmares and doing a TOP notch job! Her Appaloosa side goes back to Nugget Jim!! Left open for '09.

TopAppaloosas > Skeetin On Ice aka "Skeeter" OK here she is folks, T.O.P. Appaloosas 'REINING' Queen!! Skeeter's dam (Gunsmokes Skeeter) is in the ApHC hall of fame and bosts lineage to Mr. Gunsmoke and Little Navajo Britches. Her sire (Ima Frosty Lena) goes back to Smart Little Lena. Ima Frosty Lena is out of Ms High Five x High Sign. In keeping with her family tradition; Skeeter is the '05 World champion in hackamore/snaffle bit reining. She also placed third in the '05 World championship reining futurity. She had a stunning colt with Gay Bars Silver in '07 and a perfect filly in '08.... the foal due in April of '09 should be another show stopper!! Skeeter is a well bred, well trained, SOUND reining mare and can still be shown.

Hickoryote's dam Jezabell Quixote won the '82 NCHA NP futurity and finished 11th in the open; LTE, $229,000. Hannah's lineage: Cutter Bill, Man O War, Doc Bar, Doc Quixote, Go Man Go and Three Bars. This Appendix registered QH mare can get down to business on a cow, folks. She a mean-cuttin-machine!!! Here she is staying legged up in the very capable hands of Heather Mink. The cross of GAY BARS SILVER with DOCS ROSE FIELD will really be something to keep your eye on!! Silver and Rosie both carry multiple World and National: Championships and Reserve Championship titles. This wonderful foal is due: Feb. '09.

"Rosie" once again came through for her rider and won the 50 & Over Cutting at the '08 World Show and she was heavy in foal!!! Yet another world title......

The competition in speed events is fierce; any horse with a title in that arena has fought their way to the top. This outstanding mare has accomplished that feat over 20 times in open and non-pro speed events and reining!! Yes, over 20 bronze trophies!!! Beautiful, sensible, quiet, patient, calm, gentle, willing, intelligent, etc... there are not enough words to describe this wonderful mare! We are humbly honored to have Local Bar with us in Argyle, Texas and we hope all goes well for the foal we are wishing for in 2010!!!
